Structured interviews
Structured interviews: using the same questions in the same order for all respondents.
Questions are often closed for example:
What is your full name?
What is your date of birth?
When did you visit the rapid access pain clinic?
How many times did you visit?
Who referred you to the clinic?
Were you seen in 10 minutes of your appointment time?
Was the visit helpful?
Where there any problems with your visit?
The majority of these questions only require simple straightforward answers.
For more detailed/complex responses it is important that the interviewer can re-shape questions, their order and probe responses
Structured interviews can be delivered via questionnaires.
